The Competition Team dancers are accepted by audition only. During each audition, dancers will be led through a warm-up, across the floor and center floor technique then taught a short combination in which dancers will be divided into small groups to perform. Our judges are looking for strength and flexibility, strong dance technique and showmanship while demonstrating the choreography given. Please remember, this audition is for a competitive team. Therefore, we expect a certain skill level for each age group.
There is a $10 audition fee which must be paid prior to the audition class. Please be aware, each dancer will audition within their age group. However, if a dancer qualifies, we will determine which team the dancer will be placed in. Information including costs and entry fees etc. will be provided in advance of each event.

The Crosby-Miller Competition Team was formed in 2010 to give dancers a chance to broaden their performing opportunities in a supportive, fun environment. We understand that dance is an art and that dance competitions are a place for our dancers to gain exposure to, and develop friendly relationships with, dancers and choreographers. Our Competition Team dancers perform in the community and our recitals. They also compete at various conventions where master classes are taught by professional choreographers.
